"Heal me, O Lord, and I will be healed; save me and I will be saved, for you are the one I praise" (Jeremiah 17:14 NIV).
This strong and beautiful woman of God came into my life and family many years ago as my sister-in-law. However, in our numerous contacts, we referred to one another as "Sis."
Many of us including our family members and closes friends have been diagnosed with cancer, also known as the BIG "C." As many may know personally, this disease is very harsh and can be physically and emotionally draining for everyone involved.
Thank the Lord for giving me an opportunity briefly to visit and be by the side of my dear sister during her battle. As I sat with her during a chemo session, we talked about our Almighty Father who we love so much. Although her physical body may not have felt it, she spoke encouraging words and refused to give up in the fight.
Our Father has kept His promise of healing. I'm sure I speak for McRae and Stinson families by stating in the midst of our broken hearts, "We still give God praise!" It's just what the prophet Jeremiah did in his times of distress. We know our precious "Jewel" is HEALED indeed, and STILL WINS!
She continues to fight for others who are battling this disease. Before her passing, she requested that donations be made in her honor through the Cancer Treatment Center of America in Atlanta, GA. Since October 10, 2018, I've committed to make a donation of my own in addition to portions from my book sales on the 10th of each month in support of cancer research and treatment.
Be encouraged and stay in the fight ! Our Father is the "Great Physician." You are a WINNER too!
